Vademecum

The aim of the following "memo" is to help you enjoy the spiritual atmosphere of the sacred place

Please, come dressed properly (no shorts, no sleeveless dresses).

When you are in sacred place turn off your mobile.

No use of video camera and no photos.

Keep your voices moderate during the tour.

If you wish to sit down to reflect or pray we inform you that in every church there is a special chapel reserved for prayer or adoration of the Holy Eucharist.

You are welcome to join our celebrations; however, we wish to remind you that only Christians who are in communion with the Catholic Church can receive Holy Communion.

Besides we ask the non Christian visitors to respect our traditions.

Tours are not allowed during any kind of service.

In some churches you will find leaflets with the translations of the Biblical Readings of the Sunday Mass.

For any necessity you can refer to the personal on duty.

Have a look at the notice-board at the entrance of the church where you can find useful information about the special activities, such as: guided tours of the church, concerts, exhibitions, regulations, timetable etc.

Avoid picnics in the surroundings of the churches.

N.B. For security reasons you are not allowed to go into the Basilica of San Marco with BACKPACKS. A hand luggage deposit free of charge is available at San Basso very close to the Basilica of San Marco.
