This small oratory was built in 1829 with funds donated by employees and manual workers from the nearby Arsenal, and designed by architect Giovanni Moro. The building reflects the neoclassical taste of the period, and its simplicity, and the use of geometrical shapes are reminiscent in particular of the architecture of Selva.
Its façade contains only a few simple decorations in Istrian stone, including two roundels with inscriptions, and ends in a small triangular pediment.
The interior consists of two adjacent halls. The first one has two semicircular windows on the side walls, and a low dome with an opening in the middle covered by a glass structure. The altar is in the second room, raised and with a barrel vault ceiling. In the central niche there is a wooden crucifix.
The recent restoration of the building, completed in 1995, was made possible by the Lions Club Venezia Host.
